The Sky is the limit
It’s 2011, Hans walks off stage and feels bliss as if he finally knows what his life purpose is. Just before that he was in front of a sold out concert hall exchanging guitar solos with Ruben Block, the frontman of Triggerfinger. The small town “down to earth” type of mentality keeps Hans Grondel from spreading his wings and fly. His musical inspirations come from the USA and sing about freedom. (Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Mayer). After years of being stuck in a rut, it is time to let this American Dream come true. What he felt in 2011 had to be pursued. He sells his bar and moves to the city of Amsterdam to go all in on his music career.
Not long after that multiple singles reach the semi-final of the UK songwriting contest (Step Into The Ring, Memories and Be The Light). His song What Are We got 5/5 stars from 11 music professionals during the Grand prize of The Netherlands. He receives praise during ESNS: “Good popsongs and a nice voice” according to Music Maker Magazine. Currently Hans is working on his debut EP. Miss You In The Mundane is the second single, a timeless love song describing mundane moments that in the end aren’t mundane after all. It was co-written by Amber Kamminga and produced by Nick Jongejan.
A lot of dreams already came true for Hans Grondel like a national tour, working with great songwriters and producers. What’s next? An international tour? A collaboration with one of his heroes? The sky is the limit.
